week 14! Our last class =(

Assalamualaikum Readers!

On our last class we had learnt about customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM). From my what i understand, CRM is a business strategy with outcomes that optimise profitability, revenue and customer satisfaction by organising around customer segment, fostering customer-satisfying behaviours and implementing customer- centric processes. CRM also a strategy which is used to learn more about customers' needs and behaviours in order to develop stronger relationships with them. There are some advantages of CRM which are:

  • customer satisfaction
  • integrated customer information
  • brand name quickly established
  • a central database that everyone in your company can keep track of customer contacts



Other that CRM, we also learnt about supply chain management (SCM). in the class we do some exercise on Putrablast. From my understanding, SCM consist 3 entities which are supplier, producer and customer. The information flow within 3 entities . seller is a person who sell raw materials, provide the services and components. Meanwhile, producer is receive component from seller to produce a finish good or service. Customer is a person that receive the finish goods. 

There are 4 flows in supply chains which are information flow, primary cash flow, primary product flow, and reverse product flow. In the information flow, it includes the flow of invoices, orders, rules and regulation. Meanwhile, the primary cash flow includes the flow of payment of product and supplies. For the primary product flow, it includes the flow of materials, component, supplies and services. Lastly, for reverse product flow, it includes the flow of product which is return for repairs, replacement, and for disposal.

other than CRM and SCM, we also had some discussion on " How social media affects the food industry". The food industries need the social media in order to market their product. Other than that, website also important in promoting their product. Social media such as Facebook and Instagram can be used for promoting their products. But they should use in correct way to avoid people distract from their post. For example, they must upload or update any post that related to their business only. the personal matter should not be upload on the business social media.
