week 6!

Assalamualaikum readers!

on week 6 lecture, we had learned on data management. In managing data there are some difficulties such as: 

• number of data increasing exponentially
• data collected by many people using various method and devices
• data security, quality and integrity are critical

From this lecture, I know that data need to managed properly by various method such as Database management system (DBMS), online transaction processing (OLTP), Microsoft Access and Oracle. 

In lab session, we had do some zoom exercise, update on CIP, and learned about netiquette. we had sign up zoom account and Dr had teach us how to conduct a meeting. every account has their own URL meeting. By using ZOOM we can do video conferencing, meeting, webinars, chatting, zoom room, premium audio, and business ID. when video conferencing, we can share some document to others participants.

Netiquette is use of good manners in online communication such as e-mail, forums, blogs, and social networking sites to name a few. in netiquette part, we had learned core rule of netiquette which can obtain from netiquette core rule. By following netiquette, online communication becomes clearer. Especially in business and career related online communications netiquette should be used to ensure that correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation are put in place to project professionalism.

I gain a lot of knowledges in this class and i hope i can apply these knowledge in my life.

Hi week 5!

Assalamualaikum DR

In week 5 class, I had learned about ethics, privacy and security topic. Ethics is a moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity. Meanwhile, privacy is a state or condition of being free from being observed or disturbed by other people. Today, many people rely on computer to do work and store the information. it is important to protect the computer from data loss, misuse, and abuse. for example, a businesses need to keep their information secure and shield by hackers. 

We need an ethics and privacy because if no ethics and privacy, people can manipulate the data. there is privacy in every soul. People can manipulate and massage the information. Manipulate is doing the negative thing about your data, while massage is improve the data. 

In the lab session,  we had learn about website tips and Microsoft excel. 

The website should:

•  in 2 or 3 primary color. 
• must have flow
• have a graphics (to appeal people)
• provide all relevant information
• create unique landing pages for specific topics
• keep website up to date
• use a straight forward layout
• include trust-building content
• simple but perfect

Microsoft excel is a spreadsheet program used to store and retrieve numerical data in a grid format of columns and rows. excel is ideal for entering, calculating and analyzing company data such as sales figures, taxes and commission. We need to learn how to use excel because: to avoid error, to save time, and increase the effectiveness in presenting the data. In lab we were doing exercise by using excel with  Dr Fareed help. I really enjoy during the class.

4th week!

How are you? i hope we in the pink of health. 

Last week i had learn about how to make a website. we can make a website by using Wix.com. Wix is the easiest way to make our own website. In a company we need a website because to gain a customer trust.  Other than that, I also learned about the differences of e-business and e-commerce.  E-business is a online thing but no transaction (selling and purchase) occur, but e-commerce have transaction. For example, e-business is UPM website, while e-commerce is CIMBCLICK.  Next, we also learned about business pressure. 

Furthermore, we also learn about theory of diffusion of innovation (DOI). DOI developed by E.M Rogers in 1962, is one oldest social sciences theories. There are 4 types of categories: innovators, early adopter, late adopter and laggard. I'm happy to learn new things and i had gain a lot of knowledge in IS class.

FIRST LAB FSM4401

Assalamualaikum & Hello everyone.

Welcome Readers!!

In this post, i would like to story on my third week in FSM4401 class. This week in the lab, we had learn about how to make a blog. I'm very excited to have my own blog. Dr want us to create a blog with a catchy name but I do not have any idea on my blog name. HAHA. so i decided to use my own name. Other than that, we had explored about google drive. My friend and I learn how to used Google Docs. Google Docs is something similar like MS word, but the different are Google Docs is online and we can share with others and do some chatting. Dr also give some explanation about Community Internet Project (CIP). My group had choose The Lembah Grillerz as our food company. We also learn chapter 1:introduction to computer based information system (CBIS) in morning class.
